As a plastic surgeon, I often hear the field being reduced to vanity or pursuing unrealistic beauty standards. But in reality, it holds much more profound significance. Plastic surgery offers people a chance to feel more aligned with their self-image, not by conforming to outside pressures but by honoring their own sense of identity and well-being.
When approached thoughtfully, plastic surgery can be a powerful means of enhancing overall wellness. It can address concerns that affect self-esteem, physical comfort, or emotional healing. Whether it’s a reconstructive procedure after an injury, a corrective treatment for a congenital condition, or a cosmetic enhancement that helps someone feel more at ease in their body, these interventions can bring about profound emotional and psychological benefits. Rather than changing how a person looks, plastic surgery empowers them to embrace their individuality and feel like the best version of themselves.
I hope this blog gives you a better sense of how I approach my work, the heart behind the hands, so to speak. For me, it’s never just about the procedure; but about supporting the whole person.
For those who don’t know much about me yet, thank you for being here and reading these words. One of my closest friends often teases me by saying I’m a workaholic trying to save the world, and honestly, that’s not far from how this journey began. Over time, I realized I couldn’t save the whole world but could help one patient at a time.
I love what I do. I’ve always been a natural fixer (I can’t help it). Plastic surgery gives me the rare opportunity to solve problems with my hands while also helping people heal emotionally. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with a wide range of patients, from children to adults, seeking a fresh start after trauma. Working with children, in particular, profoundly touched me. Their resilience moved me deeply, but I found myself too emotionally affected by their suffering. It stayed with me long after the procedures were done. As much as I admire pediatric care, I knew my heart couldn’t take it long-term. That experience helped shape how I approach all of my patients with deep empathy, presence, and respect for their journey (or at least that is what I try).
Reflecting on everything I’ve experienced, I sometimes feel like I must be 100 years old, but I promise I’m not even close. What I have is a strong engine fueled by a desire to help, and it is a powerful engine that keeps me working nonstop. That makes me feel that I have so much to say and so much to share. Hopefully, it doesn’t look like a lack of humility from my end; it’s just that I care deeply, and I want to connect.
That’s why I started this blog: because there’s so much to talk about. Science is here for all of us, but let’s be honest: It can be overwhelming. So, why not break it down and share what really matters in a way that feels approachable? My goal is to give my patients, friends, and family a straightforward, trustworthy starting point without the stress of wondering: Where should I begin? Is this online information even accurate?
I aim to be honest and transparent in every word I share.
«Embrace Your Health, Enhance Your Beauty» isn’t just a tagline. It’s the expression that grounds me. After years as a physician and simply as a woman living in this world, this phrase has come to embody everything I’ve learned. It’s now at the center of my mindset, my consultations, and even how I live day to day. It’s become a quiet mantra that keeps me focused on what matters most.
So, let’s begin. Let’s learn together, not through dense textbooks or endless Google searches but through honest conversations. My goal is to share practical, science-backed insights in a clear, fun (hopefully), and useful way that helps us all move closer to our personal goals, whatever they may be.

I hope this blog helps you understand that my motivation to become a plastic surgeon goes beyond aesthetics. For those who don’t know much about me yet, I’ll start by saying thanks for reading these words. The second thing is that, in my friend’s words, I am a workaholic who is trying her best to save the world (at least that’s how my journey started). Throughout this journey, I realized I couldn’t save the whole world but one piece at a time.
I love what I do, and I’ve always been a natural fixer (I can’t help it). Plastic surgery offers me the best of both worlds: the ability to solve problems with my hands while also helping people heal emotionally. «Embrace Your Health, Enhance Your Beauty» means so much to me. After all these years as a medical doctor (and as a woman), this expression englobes my learning as a physician and a human. It is now my center when I am in the consultation room with my patients (I’ll go deeper on this later). My mindset, professional life, and personal lifestyle revolve around this expression like a constant mantra.
Now, let’s enjoy our company and begin by learning more about what advances in medical science have to offer us without the heavy stress of endless information. Instead, I am to present straightforward and simple information that is useful for our everyday lives and equip us with the tools we need to reach those personal goals that we were struggling to achieve in a simple, clear and fun (hopefully), way.
