Global health has always been close to my heart. From a young age, I was drawn to helping others and began volunteering while still in school. That passion only grew stronger after I became a doctor. During my medical training, I had the chance to provide care in underserved communities as part of my university’s social service program. During this time, working directly with families in rural Nicaragua, I truly saw how much need there was, and how powerful it could be to work together with others who shared the same goals.
Global health is not just about medicine but human connection, dignity, and teamwork. I’ve learned that we create the most meaningful impact when we listen, partner with local leaders, and build programs that respect each community’s strengths. Over the years, I’ve continued to support and develop projects that focus on people who need it most. I’ve seen how even small efforts can change lives when done with heart and shared vision.
I use social media to inspire others to participate in global health work. Whether as a project participant, a volunteer, or a long-term team member, there’s a role for everyone. I truly believe the greatest gift is being the giver. I hope that by sharing what I do, I can offer a glimpse into what global health really means and encourage more people to step forward and join this life-changing mission.
